Leaving Budapest

Upon awaking this morning we found it was raining. We had breakfast and sat around until around nine am. The rain seemed to be letting up and it was warm outside so we decided to move from out hotel near the airport to downtown Budapest. Somewhere along the route we decided to leave Budapest and change our planed route slightly. We are now in a small town called Esztergom approximately  95 Km from our hotel in Budapest.
The ride out was very nice and the rain stopped before we left Budapest. We are in a very nice hotel and the people are very nice to us. They drove us to a restaurant for dinner but we walked home. I had a traditional Hungarian dish which I liked very much. It was pork, bacon fat, veggies some cooked and some raw. I didn't realize it but paprika is a spice used quite a bit in Hungary and is used in most of the dishes.
Of note here is the Esztergom Cathedral. It has quite a history and is the largest building in Hungary. It is no longer a Cathedral but is a Bascilia. I was so impressed that we are going back tomorrow so we can go inside and look at it. We are also planning to cross over into Slovica before leaving and moving on to Austria. We plan to do another 95 km tomorrow.
Along the way today we stopped for lunch at a little outdoor cafe along the Danube. It was out in the  middle of no where but the food was awesome. It was great to sit by the Danube and eat lunch. We followed the Danube all the way here. Of particular note was how the cars treat us - basically as a pedestrian - giving us the right of way and waiting on us.  No horns or anything else. Very funny also as most bikers don't even wave to us. There are so many and they are busy going about their business they don't even notice us. Most of the bike have panniers on them similar to ours and they are used for grocery shopping. More news and pictures later.
